Lenovo to break ground $800 million mobile device facility

Chinese PC maker Lenovo has broken grounds on Monday in Wuhan a new base in the central Chinese city that only will concentrate on research, production and sale of mobile phones.

Lenovo was discovered as a second largest PC maker in the world, has issued the statement that about $800 million (5 billion Yuan) facility could finally house as many as 10,000 staff members and will concentrate on smartphones, tablets and other mobile phones for Chinese and global markets. This seems to start operating in October 2013.

The Mobile devices indicate the small portion of overall sales of Lenovo but indicate a lot of future growth as PC huge sales after lagging behind the sale of mobile devices. Chinese’s Lenovo launched a business in last year know as Mobile Internet Digital Home.

Yang Yuangqing group chairman and CEO of Lenovo told in a statement that as an industry leader we are rapidly flourishing into the PC-plus era, and with the help of Mobile Internet Digital home group actively engaged. And now we are enhancing the production and sale especially in smartphones, tablets, and other mobile internet terminal markets.
