This new launched combo CPU/GPU chips of AMD claims to double the performance over AMD’s previous generation.
The Intel has started the new wave of its third-generation Core of i-series processors; it also called as Ivy Bridge. Now AMD is introducing its processor update. These newly introduced parts are second generation of A-series accelerated processing units and previously its code name was Trinity.
Instead of central processing unit, AMD uses the term APU (accelerated processing unit) give rise the meaning that a CPU and discrete level GPU are gathered.
The name of new processor of laptop include A4, A6, A8 and A10 claim to double performance compare to previous generation AMD’s chips. It allows laptop to work persistently up to 12 hours of battery. You can get them in dual core 17-watt and in both quad-core 25-watt and 35-watt versions.
The GPU consists on AMD Radeon HD 7000 series graphics cards and have the capability to support DirectX 11. After combining dual graphic mode with physically discrete graphics card power can be boost up or for battery life saving as per needed. Similar to how both discrete and integral graphics are combined by Nvidia’s Optimus technology.
AMD is also really helpful for software maker in creating videos and performance optimization plug-ins for browsers like Google chrome, Firefox, internet explorer 9 and lot of other software like VLC media player, photoshop CS6 with lot of other apps. The company is extending its APU platform as great for video playback, edit and encoding. The new Laptop APUs includes;

AMD reveals companies including Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Sony, Samsung and Toshiba after influencing will have these new parts in laptop. HP already has admitted ultrabook like sleekbooks that will possess next-gen AMD parts.
